I found it enligthening to see muslim women coming together and talk about women issues. Yazaka Allah gheir.
If women (or men) decide to be full-time mother (or dad), they should be greatly respected (even if what they earn is not counted in euros, dollars or pounds). If we really grasp the importance of taking care of children, raising the next generation and creating a home, we would never refer to it as "staying at home" or "not participating in society". As long as we are unable to conceal that we think of raising kids or building a home as being inferior to earning money, we are going to have trouble finding anybody (be it male or female) to happily take up this important of job. Only if we all succeed in truly appreciating this job, that doesn’t at first sight appear to yield any material gain, will there be a true liberation of men and women.
