Our inaugural report "Faith, Khidmah and Citizenship" is available now as a PDF.

"Faith, Khidmah and Citizenship: Connecting Spirituality and Social Action to Build Civil Society" was launched at Zakat House, London on 22 November 2013 with a keynote presentation from An-Nisa Society's Humera Khan and introductory remarks from RMW's Executive Director Fuad Nahdi.

Along with a diverse group of grassroots civil society activists, charitable organisations, researchers, social entrepreneurs, frontline workers, people involved in cultural industries and representatives from government and statutory sector agencies, we heard responses from Shahien Taj (Henna Foundation), Dr Laura Zahra McDonald (Birmingham University), Ted Cantle (Institute for Community Cohesion), Dr Musharraf Hussain (Karimia Institute), Fadi Itani (Zakat House), one of the report's editors journalist and campaigner Jack O'Sullivan and scholar Shaykh Faid Muhammad Said.
